The 13^th annual Jazz International Jazz Festival is set to descend upon Cape Town next weekend and your favourite blogger suggests you make sure you’re there!

This event has been drawing crowds since its inception in 2000 and currently ranks as No 4 in the world!

Now for those of you who are unsure about what it’s about or feel apprehensive by the thought of dressing in black and ‘enjoying’ the sounds emanating from what sounds like instruments falling down stairs, worry not! The festival boasts more than 40 International and local artists to choose from, so whatever type of jazz you prefer you’re sure to find it! The festival itself runs over a period of two days, namely Friday the 30^th of March and Saturday the 31^st, with five stages to choose from.

Tickets are R550 for a weekend pass and R400 for a day. If you’re only interested in selected performances it is R40 per show.

Food can be bought on site, and there are ATM facilities!
